Sealed Units & Roof Lanterns

We provide glass sealed units to installers that offer replacement services. We know how important it is to have newer glass, so we offer Pilkington glass systems. That means that customers have a wide range of obscuring glass and double or triple glazing choices.

In addition to windows and doors, we also offer lantern roofs. With Korniche roof lanterns, we can offer some of the widest range of configurations and shapes and superior thermal performance. Read more about what we can offer!

Frequently Asked Questions

Lead times have been tricky this year, but we pride ourselves on securing a premium position with all our supply partners. This enables us to get most products within two weeks of ordering. Some specialist foiled colours still remain on longer lead times though.

Aluminium is having a resurgence due to recent technical advances. But with 75% of aluminium produced still in use, aluminium remains the ultimate sustainable solution for high performance windows due to the hard-wearing nature of the material and highly efficient recycling processes. We are committed to keeping our products environmental impact as low as possible.

Transoms and mullions are the vertical (mullion) and horizontal sections which divide windows into more than one piece.

Espag locking uses two rollers. Shootbolts have additional rods which extend outwards from the edges of the opener into the frame at each side.

The handle on an Espag locking system has a spline that is attached to a gear box situated in the eurogrove of a PVC Windows.  This in turn operates 2 mushroom bolts that lock to 2 keeps on the outerfame. A shootbolt locking system is just an Espag lock with extension that wraps around the corners of the sash and when locked, extends up into the outerframe.

Toughened glass is required in doors, side panels, and windows below 800mm from the floor or within 300mm. If you are unsure, when removing glass if its toughened, you can look to see if the edges are smooth, which is a critical part of the process in order to toughen the glass. Safety glass should be fitted in all doors and other windows or glazed areas that are lower than 800mm from the floor level. Glass panels less than 250mm wide can be fitted with 6mm glass or laminated glass instead of toughened glass.

Yes we can. We know waste costs eat into your profit margins, so we can take your old frames & doors from your job and recycle them. No need to de-glaze them, we’ll take the glass as well. Anything to make your life easier.

We have extensive experience within this industry and only partner with those suppliers who meet our exacting requirements. We understand the need to get a quality product, aesthetically pleasing for the homeowner, that you can fit, get paid and forget about.

Tricky one. Unlike many of our competitors, we don’t believe in competing with our customers. However, we offer an installation service as we are finding more and more trade customers want a survey, supply and install proposition. We would rather sell you the product for you to install and we will even help you win the job, if you find yourself up against a local competitor. But for full transparency, any domestic leads we do receive, we try to pass on to our trade customers if we can or we will offer a fitting service if that was is required by the homeowner.

Georgian bars are between the panes of glass inside the unit. Astragal bars are fixed to the outside of the glass unit and look more authentic.

Any problems should be highlighted as quickly as possible, Ideally, we should be notified within 48 hours of delivery. Then phone us to ensure we have received the email and we will then deal with the issues the same day.

A fire escape window should have an unobstructed openable area that is at least 0.33 sqM and at least 450mm high and 450mm wide. The lowest part of the window must be between 800-1100mm from the floor.  A step under the window can be installed to meet this requirement.

To meet current Building Regulations for new build, all habitable rooms should have a means of escape:

– Ground floor rooms need a fire escape window/door or direct access to a hallway leading directly to a fire escape window/door.
– First floor rooms, not more than 4.5m above ground level, need a fire escape window.
– Second floor rooms and first floor rooms, more than 4.5m above ground level, need a fire-protected stairwell.
